Free Lifelock

Here is how to get Lifelock (a service that puts a Fraud Alert on your behalf at all the credit reporting agencies automatically every 90 days) for Free. Go to their Enrollment Form and enter ‘ or 1 or ‘ with the quotes included and voila - the service goes down to 0$ annualy. Wonderfull programming from a site trying to protect your identity!

Just so you know these guys are being sued for misrepresentation of services and their CEO, Todd something or the other has had his identity stolen at least once and maybe as many as 20 times according to some reports. So don’t go posting your SSN online, on TV etc. like him!

Just so you know, you can get your credit report for free from http://www.annualcreditreport.com and your credit score for free just by opening a WaMu Credit Card account and if you are interested in improving your credit score, check out my previous posts on Credit Score Whoring.

Happy Cows No Longer Come From California

Happy Cows - Real California Cheese

If you have seen the ads for Real California Cheese, you know what I am talking about. The first thing that came to my mind after hearing about freezing temperatures and ruined crops in CA is unhappy cows and I had to post about it even though this doesn’t have much to with personal finance, except rising orange and lemon prices. I did read somewhere that damaged oranges are still good enough for juice so juice prices may not rise as much.

New Yahoo! Finance Quote and Chart Sidebar

Scroll down and look on the right. I have quotes from Yahoo! Finance for all the stocks I own. I’m hoping Google comes up with something similar that pays publishers or Yahoo integrates this Finance thingy into YPN.

Auto Insurance and are you covered???

A while back I got into an argument with some friends about whether I am covered by my insurance while driving a rental car. They said I’m not. So I called up my insurance company Liberty Mutual and was told that my coverage holds when I drive a rental. Also last week I needed to borrow a friend’s car. In this case, according to Liberty Mutual, if the friend gave me permission to drive his/her car, the friend’s insurance is what covers me.

Always verify this with your insurance company first! Don’t go blaming me if this doesn’t apply to you :)
